Planned Giving

One of the most powerful ways you can support Greenfaith is through a planned gift. These types of gifts cost nothing upfront while ensuring that our work can span for generations to come. Explore different ways to make a planned gift below. 

Bequest

You can choose to donate a percentage or dollar amount of your estate to Greenfaith in your will. To help you get started you can use FreeWill, an online tool that guides you through the process of creating your will or trust. It’s easy to use, accessible online, and can be completed in 20 minutes. You can use this resource on its own, or use it to document your wishes before finalizing your plans with an attorney.

Beneficiaries

Do you have an IRA, 401(k), life-insurance policy, or any other assets not included in your will? If so, these are called non-probate assets and you must plan your beneficiaries for them separately. Use this online tool to make your plans and designate us as a beneficiary of one or more of these assets.

A gift of stocks is a powerful way to support GreenFaith, and it allows you to avoid the capital gains tax. Additionally, you are still eligible to deduct the full fair-market value of the asset you donated, up to the overall amount allowed by the IRS.
